Hi I’m Lorraine, Director of Enabling Independence. I’ve been working in the disability sector for over 14 years, and I’m very passionate about helping people build confidence, independence and live the life they choose. I genuinely love getting to know people and supporting them and their families in a warm, caring, and respectful way.
Â
I choose to work in the disability sector because I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live with choice, confidence, and independence. What keeps me here is seeing people achieve things they never thought were possible and watching their confidence grow.
Â
My values are simple: treat every person with kindness, respect and compassion, listen to what matters to them, and support them to live their life their way.
Â
I bring kindness, patience, consistency, and a genuine sense of humour to my work. I believe the best relationships are built on trust, honesty, and showing up for people every day.
Â
I enjoy creating a positive, supportive environment where people feel heard, valued, and encouraged to be themselves.
Â
Outside of work, I love keeping active at the gym, travelling, spending time with family and friends, and making life fun. I enjoy meeting new people, having a laugh, and creating positive experiences wherever I can. I also play pickle ball.
