Hey I’m Suzie. I’ve been a support worker for one year and I love supporting people to enrich their lives in whatever ways they may require.
After working in construction I was looking for something more meaningful in life. I value the importance of human connection and kindness, and support work allows me to bring these qualities to other people’s lives.
People would describe me as kind, fun loving, and happy. I love a conversation and building a connection with people beyond the surface. I will give just about anything a go and I’m also a creative thinker. I like to find ways to adapt and overcome obstacles.
I love music, nature, animals, and my friends and family. I live with my daughter and we have two cats who like to play fetch. I volunteer as a dog walker for the elderly and would love to have a dog of my own.
My passion is helping people who are disadvantaged in the community and I have done a lot of volunteering with women, children, and animals. One of my favourite volunteering roles was at an intergenerational playgroup bringing together preschool kids and older friends from a retirement village.
