Jade

Staff Team Leader | Support Worker

Hi, my name is Jade and I have been working in disability support since June 2025 and as Staff Team Leader since September 2025. I am passionate about supporting people to feel safe, included, happy and confident in their everyday lives.

I am originally from Auckland, New Zealand, lived in Brisbane for 8 years, and have now called Adelaide home for almost 2 years. I am also a proud mum of 4 sons aged between 15 and 25.

In my spare time you will usually find me spending time with my family, at the beach, or at the gym. I am a very caring and approachable person who genuinely enjoys helping others and building positive connections with the people I support.

I chose disability support because it genuinely brings me so much joy. It never feels like work when you get to spend time supporting such amazing people to live more independent lives and helping wherever I can. Seeing people grow in confidence, achieve their goals and feel supported is something that makes me truly happy.

I bring compassion, patience and genuine care to my role as a support worker. I pride myself on making people feel safe, respected, included and comfortable being themselves. I am approachable, reliable and always willing to help wherever I can. I have been told that I have a calming presence which is important to me.

Most importantly, I bring a positive attitude and a genuine passion for helping people live more independent and fulfilling lives. I love building strong connections with the people I support and helping them grow in confidence while making sure they feel valued and heard.

Any spare time I do have, which is not a lot, you will find me with my family as we are very close. I love keeping fit, gym workouts, netball games, and hikes/walks. I enjoy being outdoors!
